Life As A Military Brat: A Poem

My home is in my heart,

I always need a new start,

I make friends everywhere I go,

It makes no difference, I know,

It will never change,

I will always be the same,

I am too good at goodbyes,

And there are rarely any highs,

I am far from my family,

Yet surrounded by people who love me,

I work hard at relationships that will never last,

I am a Military Brat.
