I walk out the door
For the first time
Wonder if I’ll miss it
The comforting silence
The newly dusty floors
Things I’ve grown used to
And the boxes are
Empty inside, like me
Home is where the heart is, but my heart is
Changing, always something new
That’s life
That’s life
Changing, always something new
Home is where the heart is, but my heart is
Empty inside, like me
And the boxes are
Things I’ve grown used to
The newly dusty floors
The comforting silence
Wonder if I’ll miss it
For the first time
I walk out the door
Good job Michaela! You are so good at writing poems! I definitely get the message of the poem, especially since I just moved. Congrats on getting it published!
