It’s about the mental preparation that comes with realizing that you have to start all over. You have to find a new coffee shop for the weekends, a new layout for your house, a new friend group, a completely new life. The painting is meant to capture the moment of rest in a time of stress and uncertainty.”

Every fall, trees shed their leaves, preparing to grow new ones in the spring. Fall leaves fall to the ground with beautiful colors ranging of red to yellow containing a year worth of memories, it's experience. Just like the trees, we too, "shed" our "leaves" from our memories and experiences. Whether those past memories and experiences were good or bad, it helps you become a better self and it will always happen every year like the trees.
