Where am I from?
A question I continuously ponder.
Is it where I was born?
Is it where I’ve lived the longest?
Is it where my family resides after retirement?
I never know how to answer the question.
Will I ever be able to find a definite answer to that question?
Will I find a place that makes me say I’m from there?
Who knows.
That’s military life, I guess.
Regardless of where I’m from, I’ll always have a home.
A home where I feel happy.
A home where I feel loved.
A home where I feel safe.
Home isn't where you're from.
Home is where the heart is.
Where my family is.
And that will never, ever change.
Your poem beautifully captures the essence of the uncertainty and resilience of military life. It resonates with the search for identity and belonging amidst constant change. The concept of home as where the heart is, with family and love, is deeply moving and universal. geometry dash
