If you didn’t already know, Guam is a tropical island known for its white sand and clear water. It has a number of awesome things you can do, and here are some examples of the most fun.
#1: Snorkeling/Scuba Diving
Since Guam is an island, you can go snorkeling or scuba diving pretty much anywhere, especially if you have your own gear. My personal favorite place to go snorkeling is Gab Gab Beach. It has tons of fish and coral, and on the shore, there are locations to have a BBQ. My family likes to call it 'concrete beach' because there is a part of the beach with a concrete wall that you can jump off of into the water.
#2: Guam Pacific Memorial Museum
The Guam Pacific Memorial Museum is a great place for any history buffs. It contains a plethora of information about who from Guam fought in WWII. To see the exhibits, you drive around the island and visit memorials for fallen soldiers.
#3: Cruises
There is a cruise you can take called Valley of Latte Jungle Riverboat Adventure Cruise. This adventure takes you through rainforests around Guam, introducing you to the history and culture of Guam and familiarizing you with the natural flora and fauna of the region. This cruise is of a small-tour style, meaning each trip is personalized and unique.
#4: The Chamorro Village Market
Chamorro Village is a hotspot of Guam's capital, Hagatna. It's main attraction, the Wednesday Night Market (even though nothing is particularly different with Wednesday night) is where tourists and locals go to explore the Chamorro Village and eat delicious food, see beautiful art, and buy crafty gifts. The Chamorro Village is open every day, but it is best known for its unique food and local dance groups of Wednesday Night Market.
#5: Performances
You can go see the Taotao Tasi Beach Dinner show, where you can watch an amazing show with beautiful costumes, performers, and fire dancers. This incredibly popular show features Chamorro warriors and dancers from the island of Tahini. The seats are on a beach, and you eat a delicious BBQ dinner while watching the show.
These are only some examples of fun things you can do in Guam. There are so many more fun things you can do while visiting or living here!
