Blowies

Dandelions

The little yellow flower, resembling the sun

They grow plentiful, and are fun

In the playgrounds, where the children play

And in your plants, where they brighten up your day

They turn to a flimsy a white cloud

And disperse from the children at play

And in the parks, you’ll hear the wind’s cheerful glee

As it too, blows the dandelion away

But the dandelion puts its roots down where it will land

And adapts to wherever and whoever blows them

They are small, yet indestructible

And they’re impossible to impair

For they do not despair

They live a life full of wonder

With unexpected winds at any corner

And people ponder,

How they live the way they do

But that’s a secret, they’ll never uncover

For you would have to live the way they do

The life of a dandelion is given to the offspring of a solider

And the offspring bloom

For I am a dandelion, who blows in the wind

Ready for each adventure, at every wild blow

Adapting wherever I go

So watch out and be aware

A dandelion is indestructible
