Dear Bloomers,
It's April! Spring has sprung, flowers are blooming, and we here at BLOOM are excited because it is the Month of the Military Child!
April has a very special place in our hearts not only because it is the Month of the Military Child, but because it is also our birthday month! That's right, folks; on April 10th, 2020, BLOOM: Empowering the Miltary Teen was launched, and we are coming up on our 1st birthday!
It has been an INCREDIBLE 12 months of Bloom's life so far: we have published 130+ articles, displayed dozens of fabulous art pieces, and posted hundreds upon hundreds of posts on social media. We've worked with organizations like Military Child Education Coalition and Blue Star Families, and we've been featured in publications such as Stars and Stripes Korea and Reuters.
And it is all because of you. Without your support, we really would not be able to continue our mission of empowering and highlighting amazing military kids all over the globe. So, on behalf of our entire team at BLOOM, thank you so much. Your support and excitement for BLOOM mean the world to each and every one of us here.
As a small token of our gratitude, we want to throw an AWESOME virtual Month of the Military Child bash this month! All month, we are going to be celebrating military kids and teens. We're going to have giveaways, contests, story games, Instagram takeovers, live-streams, and even A THEMED COLLAB WEEK!
Guess what? The festivities start right now! On April 2 (tomorrow!), some of our OCONUS team members are taking over the Instagram account to celebrate the Month of the Military Child and answer all of your questions. On April 3, we are relaunching our massively popular "Military Kid Bingo" game (with some updates). And on April 5, we are starting the countdown to our first birthday with articles, story games, and more!
On April 10 (our birthday!), we will be going LIVE on Instagram at 6 PM EST/7 AM KST, so make sure you come celebrate with us! (If you can't make it, don't worry, we're recording it!)
We're going to keep the rest of the month secret, for now. We don't want to ruin the surprises. 😉 Make sure you're following us on social media to stay updated on all the other fun things we have planned!
